As a painter of watercolors, I like the freedom in what can be translated onto paper.  I enjoy the process—from selecting a subject, to choosing the right paper, to applying the first wash of color.

Whether painting an opaque spring flower resting in the afternoon shadows, or shimmering sunlight dancing on a morning pond, capturing a vision on paper for others to see and feel as I do is the challenge  and pleasure that painting provides me.

Fortunately, interpretation is both personal and unique to all of us as both creators and spectators.  My hope is to invite both enjoyments and comfort with my art, where the viewer and I enter into common ground.
