The magic of nature attracts my attention.  God makes the beauty, and in my work, I want to share what my eyes see and enjoy.  I love color, and the contrast of light and shadows.

I came to the United States in 1999.  I brought with me my love of painting that has always been a part of my life----whether from my original country of Columbia, or from every place I have visited.  I took classes in workshops sponsored by local arts organizations in Wellsville—the library and the Wellsville Art Association, and in Belmont at the Fountain Arts Center.  The instruction helped me to understand the capabilities of different mediums.  It opened my eyes and showed me what I could achieve, and what I enjoyed doing.

Although I started painting as a hobby, and a good way to say goodbye to my professional career as a lawyer in Columbia, I now live a life of creative process through the colors of pastels, and the transparency of watercolors.  I take photographs that provide me with the details I need when I begin work back in my studio at my home in Wellsville.

For the last three years, the high point of my work has been the creation of the Wellsville Balloon Rally posters, a collectible series that is reproduced annually on posters and apparel.

I have had my best work displayed in the Wellsville Art Association forums and received many awards for my art.
