Stop by The Fountain Arts Center for a cup of hot coffee, and take in the stunning renovation of a
rescued historic building. On the main street of Belmont, New York, in Allegany County, this architectural
gem has served as a fixture in the community for over a century. From a bustling hotel and restaurant that
provided hospitality in Belmont since the late 1800's, to a bank, post office, drug store, dentist's office,
and more, the building has certainly seen its share of history! After a ten-year rehabilitation, funded
by public and private investment, the three-story brick building is now a home for the arts,
with continually revolving exhibits in the gallery, and classes, and programs held throughout the year.
Recent milestones include the opening of the Belmont Cafe, serving up delicious
fare and beverages, and the Corrado Room, featuring a collection of award-winning pieces by artist
Anne Yannie Corrado, whose uncle Felix Sirio owned the property for fifty years.
In addition, The Fountain Arts Center Gallery and Signs & Wonders Studio have returned
to the building, following the completion of the rehabilitation, and a new retail arts shop,
Allegany Treasures, showcases the unique handcrafted products from our region.
